{1} A psalm by David, when he ran from his son Absalom.

{2} God, so many torment me. Great people rise against me.

{3} Many say of me, “He will never be saved by God.”

{4} But God, You are my shield; my glory, who lifts my head up high.

{5} My voice calls out to God and He will answer me from His holy mountain.

{6} I lay down and slept, then awoke knowing God supports me.

{7} I am not afraid of the many thousands who have surrounded me.

{8} God, rise up. My God, save me. Strike the cheeks of my enemies, break the teeth of the wicked.

{9} God, deliverance is Yours. May Your blessings be upon Your people.
